An Introduction

Large corporations and governments typically have large workforces that are geographically distributed. When these large organizations deploy the GridGuard™ solution, they have certain unique requirements that influence their deployment architecture. These requirements primarily relate to the ability to provide a fault tolerant, scalable architecture that can be deployed in a distributed manner. This reference guide looks to document those requirements and provide a reference implementation for how to address those requirements.

This reference guide assumes that the organization has users distributed across large distances, and typically on different continents. They operate on different timezones and might use different languages. They might also have different performance requirements and need the ability for their users to travel from one region to another and still be able to use the solution without the need for any special configuration.
