Single Server Performance
The performance of a GridGuard™ Virtual Appliance depends on how the hardware on which the virtual appliance runs and how the virtual appliance is sized.
The graph above shows the results for a performance tests conducted on an HP DL 360 G7 Server with a single Quad Core Intel Xeon 5600 series processor and 4 GB of RAM. A single server can handle loads of up to 2,000 log ins per minute.
For most organizations and use cases, a 2,000 log in per minute metric equates to a total user population between 150,000 to 200,000. The user population number will vary based on the use case and how frequently users tend to log into the appliance or service being protected. These numbers are provided just as guidelines.
